Ta-da!!!!! Last Friday I went to the Tower of London. It was a really fun day. I have made sure that I do at least one "touristy" thing every week so then I don't miss out on a thing. I hope that you all enjoy the pictures. Posted by Hello
This is a pannel from the sun dial in front of the Tower Bridge tube station. The pannel's show sences from the history of London.  Posted by Hello
When I saw this book I wasn't really sure what it was. I didn't know if Kings just like to have everything big: houses, chairs AND books. Or if this was just JK Rowlings latest "Harry Potter." Posted by Hello
Okay, I wanted to write something funny here. But I think that Henery VIII's armor may supply its own jokes.  Posted by Hello
These are ravens that like to hang out at the tower.  Posted by Hello
This is a picture taken in the Roayl Green. The homes in this picture are actually still used as homes by a small group of aristocrats. Behind me is the location of where aristocrats and former royals were beheaded... Do you think that someone wants to make sure that the current residence stay in line? Posted by Hello
This is a picture of a Beefeater a.k.a Yeoman Wardener. They are the gaurdians of the tower. I am not sure why they have the nick name of Beefeater... but I have a feeling that this gaurd isn't a vegitarian. Posted by Hello
This is the throne in the Midevial Tower. Here they tried to recreate the room and the seat where the king would have sat. Posted by Hello
Here is Clint and I before we head off to walk across the bridge. Posted by Hello
This sign basically explained that the Tower of London was used, at some point, as a location where bodies that were thrown into the Thames was kept until they could have a proper burial. I just thought that it was funny that someone wanted to make sure that the sign did not state that it was the place where people would dress up to take care of the discarded bodies but actully it did a service in the past. Posted by Hello
Don't I just look so happy crossnig the bridge. It really wasn't as fun as I am making it look. I think that even that little kid in the back thinks that I look somewhat looney. Posted by Hello
The day ended at the otherside of the London Bridge. This is a picture of the Millinium Dome which is directly across from the Tower. The Milinum Dome is the location of the mayor's office. Wouldn't that be cool to work in that building? Posted by Hello
These pictures are from the Oxford vs. Cambridge Boat Race. This was the 151st. race. As you can see there are a lot of people waiting just to see a few seconds of the race. I was 5 min from the starting point, but there were large groups of people all along the course. Posted by Hello
Here are the Beans. I still think that it is extreamly strange that Maren, who I havn't talked to in three years, is in the same program that I am in. Posted by Hello
There they come. If you can see there are two boats. One has dark blue and white tops, the other boat has yellow and white tops. Because the race is televised and there is commentary on the radio there are alot of motor boats fallowing close behind. Posted by Hello
This picture is really hard to see. But all you need to know is that Oxford was ahead by about an entire boat length. Posted by Hello
After the rowboats went by, a large group of people when to this pub to watch the rest of the race on the TV. There were so many people there that I had to stand outside. It was the end to a really nice day. Posted by Hello
